Well hello hello everybody and welcome to the transform recruiting podcast I am your host Brad Owens and why on earth is Brad Owens doing a podcast on transforming recruiting. Well I come from the space. This is all I've done for well over a decade. I've been an external recruiter an internal recruiter a firm owner a consultant to recruiters consultant to internal hiring folks I've been on stage I've written articles I've actually hosted other podcasts all related to hiring and throughout this entire journey. What I've noticed is these types of things don't exist. In our space as much as they should and this was a topic that is near and dear to my heart I say that and I truly mean it. This is something that I've devoted my entire career to this is something that I read about on vacation. You know most people take their Danielle steel novels or whatever I take recruiting books and if this were on video I could show you the books that I literally have on my desk. About recruiting so needless to say I can nerd out about this stuff I love it. I can talk about it all the time and I was posting around on Linkedin asking if anyone knew of anything like this I didn't get much of a response so I went ahead and threw up an idea of hey. What if I were to focus on the people. The ideas the trends the tech that are really transforming the recruiting and staffing industry. You know it could be external recruiting internal recruiting. Whatever it is and this could be something that we could have you know by recruiting leaders for recruiting leaders. What would you all say to that.

I got an overwhelmingly positive response to that. So here. We go here. It is the transform recruiting podcast. So again, we're going to talk about the people the ideas the trends and technology everything that's shaping and transforming the recruiting and staffing industry and this is going to have. All the people that I come up against throughout my my career and throughout you know, honestly what I do day-to-day you know the connections I've built. We've got coming on already saying they'd come on. We have sea level leaders cubicle recruiters firm owners people from top 5 firms in the world. Ah, folks from governing bodies. We've got all sorts of people that have already said yes I want to be a part of this. Yes, why doesn't this exist. Yes I was hoping someone could do this. We were just talking about this yesterday. So this is for the industry this is for recruiters and it's by recruiters. So we know. I know what you're going to want to hear I want to hear from you even if there's something we don't cover. Um I feel like if you are like me and you feel that the only time that we get updates on the industry are maybe like a quarterly newsletter or we have to all go to the same conference and hopefully we talk to the right people. Ah, this is our information gathering opportunity. This is our ability to really figure out up to the minute. What's going on in our industry. So I want to hear from you I want to understand what you need to know what questions you might have and I'll go out and find people that would be good fits for answering those types of questions.
